This may be done by toggling the Playlist/Song repeating button. See attached image.
Then, go here: Preferences > General Preferences > Playlist and enable "Manual playlist advance".
It becomes disabled every time the repeat button is toggled so you must return to Preferences and re-enable "Manual playlist advance"
after toggling the button.
At least, that's how I do it.
