testing old versions

Well, just to rule out something changing on my system and causing the problem, I just uninstalled version 5.58 and downloaded an old version, (5.24 to start with). With version 5.24, it doesn't matter how quickly I close and restart winamp, it comes up instantly. I guess now I have to just keep uninstalling and reinstalling newer and newer versions of winamp, until, I find the latest that won't occasionally take 30 seconds to start. I hate to have to have to abandon all future releases, but for the way I use winamp, the current version is just not usable. Maybe someone in development can someday look to see if the current or future versions aren't doing something wrong in their unload or startup code. I wonder if it might even be an issue with using a newer compiler.
