I suppose Winamp doesn't recognise the format and skips it while the three other players I found on my PC do recognise the format.
I found a fourth player, Groove Music, on my PC that plays the files without any issues.
Therefore I think it's not a problem with the file format itself but with the way Winamp looks at the files.
