"There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive." error message when WinAmp starts.

Reproduction: I'm currently using an external USB floppy drive. Whenever I unplug the drive and start WinAmp, the error messsge is shown and I've to click "cancel" twice.

Temporary solution: The only way to get rid of the message is to plug in the USB floppy drive, uninstall the driver through Device Manager and unplug the USB floppy drive.

Any idea what's happening?
