I believe I am having the same problem. ShoutCast won't/can't connect and WinAmp is just displaying [connecting to host] and is stuck there.

Is this solution limited to Linux? The computer running ShoutCast is on Windows XP (yeah, I know!). Is that a problem?

How do I find if I have allowed DNAS to access the Internet? My stream was running fine until today, but we haven't had any new computer updates or scans or wipes or anything like that.
