I really like the lyrics to this one...

Artist: Slipknot
Song: "Vermillion"
Length: 05:16 - 05:25 (Single Mix)
Album: Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses) {2004}
Personal Rating: ****

Song Make up:
1 Verse 1 - Sung/spoken
2 Secondary Chorus
3 Verse 2 - Sung/spoken
4 Secondary Chorus
5 Verse 3 - Sung/yelled at times
6 Primary Chorus 1
7 Solo
8 Primary Chorus 2
9 Verse 4 - Yelled/screamead at times
10 5th [Final] Verse - soft vocalizing/screaming

1). 0:31
She seems dressed in all the rings... of past fatalities
So fragile, yet so devious - she continues to see
climatic hands that press her temples and my chest
Enter the night that she came home - forever

2). 0:59
(Oh...!) SHE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT MAKES ME-
SAD (bleak scream)!!!

3). 1:20
She is everything and more, the solemn hypnotic
My dahlia, bathed in possesion (her) - she is home to me
I get nervous, perverse, when I see her, it's worse
But the stress is astounding
It's now or never, she's coming home - forever

4). 1:47
(Oh...!) SHE'S THE ONLY ONE THAT MAKES ME-
SAD (bleak screm)!!!

5). 2:04
Hard to say what caught my attention
Fixed and crazy - aphid attraction
Carve my name in my face! - to recognize
Such a pheromone cult to terrorize!

6). 2:22
I won't let this build up inside of me... X3
I won't let this build up inside of... ME (yelled)!

YEAH! 2:50
7). (Solo) 2:52

8). 3:28
I'M a slave and I am a master!
No restraints and unchecked collectors
I exist to my need! (I EXIST!) - to self-oblige
She is something in me! (I DESPISE!) - that I despise

9). 3:47
I won't let this build up inside of me... X7
I won't let this build up inside of...
ME (long bleak scream)!!!

10). 4:38
SHE ISN'T REAL! - I CAN'T MAKE HER REAL! X2
She isn't real (She isn't real) - I can't make her real (I can't make her real)
She isn't real (She isn't real) - I can't make her real...
Vocals Cease 5:10

Interpretation:
Women appears to be the subject of matter here.
The song's output towards the listener is quite obvious, but it's use of metaphors during each verse that give the song it's emotion. Various styles of vocalising are used, including a dark spoken acccent during the first two verses which initiates the track, then progressing into a more aggressive attack with more screaming. This is all then concluded with a gentle ending and a strong fade out. It's both quite percussive, and rhythmic, but after all, this thread is lyric based, so the lyrics are what matter here.
