only car i'd consider buying right now, dodge charger, they almost fucked up the body styling and made it into yet another horrible generic looking bubble bouncing it's way down the road sputtering and wheezing at every hill (prius reference , try to climb even a 20 or 30 degree in one of those without pulling over to the breakdown lane so you don't get rear ended), but thankfully they saved it and it looks pretty nice.

the changes in the body style took me a few to get used to, but it actually is a very attractive car, even if not in quite the same way as it's predecessor, being of the SRT family it has a damn nice engine and tons of power, of course it'd nearly cost a fortune to drive everyday, since at my guess it probably gets around 20-25 (city/highway) mileage, but it could be worse if i'm not too far off.

I hate everyone, so you don't have to.

Have you ever driven one? Cars with electric motors in them have quite a surprising amount of torque and are quite effortless uphill. Add some pedal and you get the added gasoline engine working in combination with the electric motor, and since the CVT allows the car to stay at maximum horsepower throughout acceleration (no gear-shifting change in RPM and horsepower), the push is consistently strong. Give one a try. Although they're not designed for competitive racing, they are damn impressive for the purpose they serve.

Wow. Nostalgic thread.

I bought a Sentra SE-R Spec V. It does not quite get the gas mileage of a prius

to be honest, not lately, a person i knew had one of the very first ones around and it could barely crawl up any decent hill for that matter.

The first design is very different from this design - it competed with a rather funky looking honda insight and wasn't as targeted at the general public - just at the few 'green geeks'. I have to agree that I didn't find that model very practical, but it was a necessary stepping stone to what's here now and what's to come.

This new model is far more roomy/comfortable, much stronger, and just overall more practical than the old one.

I think that's just the trade off - you get all those benefits plus a brand with almost unquestionable reliability, but at the price of driving around in a car that looks like a bad photoshopping of a hatchback.

it looks nearly like it was designed to roll as a large sphere and then changed to have ugly bumps and misplaced curves that remind you of your 300+ LBS wife/grandma/mom's ass that should have a reverse warning tone at the last minute

I had completely forgotten about making this thread. I still don't understand how two years in real life can fly by, but two years in internet time feels like twenty or thirty years.
