Satellite Feed

I have a satellite connection I would like to stream from at a special event. Bandwidth appears to be 9.6kbps. Lowest aacPlus setting through v2DNAS encoder is 12k. I see some hosts offer 8k aacPlus streams. Does anyone know if I can override the settings offered by the encoder included with v2 of the DNAS, or do I need a specific encoder? Or have any suggestions? ASAP, please. Thanks

Changing sc_trans.conf to 8000 bitrate doesn't appear to override the settings offered or set by the encoder drop-down menu in the DNAS - reverts to 12k

Win 7 Ent 64bit and all current winamp/shoutcast programs.

it's not possible to my knowledge with the official tools as 12k is the lowest the provided FhG AAC library goes to. maybe the older sc_trans based on the CodingTech library went that low but that's not a version officially provided anymore so if you found a copy you would be on your own.
