how long does it take for a skin update to be submitted and ready to be reviewed? Cause i submitted a skin update about 2 weeks ago, and i think it's about time it's published. Or is it normal to take so long?
I've been out of the scene for a while, so things can be changed since then.

Normal or not, it took them 3 weeks to publish my skin...

(Maybe some insiders could tell me why)

Grow a beard and measure it ... when it reaches the 3 inch tic mark, you've waited too long.

Ew ... then I guess I shouldn't have yanked Jenny 256k version to resub with the 16M version ... ::sigh:: I guess that's 5 less hate mails a day I'll get for the next 6 months.

Oh and when I try to delete and resub under same name, it says file already exists on server. Ugh.

I found myself recently monitoring a re-sub situation: took about 5 weeks.

When you submit as a new skin, you'll have to change the name. For me, "Liero Amp" became "Liero Amp v1_1" and "Hyperspatial Preset Pack" became " Hyperspatial Preset Pack"

Takes a while sometimes...

The problem seems to be too many skins and too few reviewers. Message to AOL: Dump more money into Nullsoft and hire ten full-time reviewers! Actually, not a good idea, because I have a feeling at least three out of five skins submitted are... umm, how to be civil... displeasing to the eye? Okay, UGLY. Poor reviewers!

That estimate is a little low. As for dumping money into the review sys ... heh.

Oh look everyone! I see a unicorn! And it's prancing and its horn is made of gold and it's coat is all rainbow colored!

Oh what?! Sorry. Musta dozed off there a moment.

We aren't going to discuss taste, don't we? It's personal...Sometimes I dare to like bad rated skins

Liking bad rated skins is fine. Sheesh! Ya'd miss out on practically every good skin for winamp presently if ya didn't.

Have you ever surfed the 'unpublished' skins, Nini ... or anyone else? I highly recommend it. You will quickly see what the problem is with publishing and search engines and whatnot. A freakin' mess to say the least. Ick!

Creating Multiple Indexes...

This would all be so easy if an index were created for each category of skin that were submitted and having a reviewer staff ea. category. With that they could get someone to man the wheel over that category and rate/rank it. But, what the hell do I know.

Whatever....

...pissed...

What are the unpublished skins (excuse me, I'm making skins for some time now, but I got Internet at home only recently)

But an index seems to be a nice idea.
