Global Hotkey Plugin For Winamp
Hey, anyone know of a global hotkey plugin which pops up a search box where song name/artist name/album name or a combination of these can be entered to play from current playlist. What should happen exactly is this.
Global Hotkey Pressed eg. Ctrl+Alt+S Search Box Pops up On Screen Type Track Name eg. Cracks Freestylers Press Enter Track is searched in current playlist and automatically played. If no track is found pop up says no matching tracks found. Bring Winamp to foreground? Buttons Yes/No. If multiple tracks match search criteria, another box pops up on screen with matching results and track can be selected from there and played. All this with winamp still in background.. Its a little too much to ask.. But is it possible?? ![]() |

Hi,
Give DrO's plug-in (Jump to File Extra (JTFE) v1.2.5) a try. Disable it's Display option to "Skin the window in the current Winamp skin style". This option interferes with the hotkey "J" operation for some users. http://nunzioweb.com/daz/jtfe.html NOTE: I don't know if it can be made to work when Winamp is in the background. I suggest you send DrO a PM and ask him if it's possible. Windows 10 Home 64-bit v20H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |

with or without the JTFE plug-in, the JTF window won't do what is wanted when a hotkey is associated to open it (and in all honesty i don't have any interest in trying to hack something together to even come close to doing so).
