Winamp 6?

Well.. I hope I´m not jumping the gun on this one.. what is this? New Winamp? New site design? Winamp cloud?

Is this guy even related to a winamp-thing?

never heard of them before but then again i don't know a lot of what goes on. and it's pretty obvious that v5.7 is the next major milestone (even with the 5.64 release and all of the fixes, etc that introduced).

Could be a cloud music thing. I'm not sure if the current skin system could support that look.

Deadamp progress is very slow, its so dead.

And if that is what winamp6 is then burn it.

i assume 'Deadamp' is a witty renaming of Winamp...

That image of a player looks lame anyways.
Winamp definitely isn't any more dead than Windows Media Player is, so who cares.
Winamp has been under development and has had more updates, etc. etc. than Microsoft has ever done with WMP. Even iTunes hasn't changed much in the last 10 years either.
Besides, if a player already does the trick, and works, no reason to overhaul it.

I think it could be a Windows 8 app, would make sense to have a a completely different team to develop that (or a 3rd party dev). Probably not a version as we would expect it to be, just some sort of lite winamp..

I highly doubt it as it doesn't fit with any of the ui styling which has been used for all recent clients created so I don't see how that'd work on that level. as what you're saying is something branded as Winamp but isn't which on what I know completely goes against how the products are managed. so I doubt that image has anything to do with Winamp officially and wouldn't be surprised if its some sort of attempt to get site traffic as I suspect it has done a bit.
