I'd like to relocate the playlist below the main window

I remember being able to do this is older versions, but for some reason I can't figure it out now and I'm worried that some genius may have thought it was a good idea to make it impossible to replace the 'media library' with the 'playlist editor'.

What you are using(Bento) is an all in one skin and has limited layout options.

You will need to switch to one of the free form skins like 'Modern' or 'Classic' to get what you want.

Well Bento Classified is working for me now. http://www.winamp.com/skin/bento-classified/170606

Shouldn't the default skin support support such a simple feature? Or do they leave it off in hopes that people will use media library/browser?

I am one of these people, who use the media library/browser very much, and I never want to miss it. I am very glad about my Bento, which I had got by the install, and I love it, that my Winamp is set to Full Screen with 100 % (I have a monitor with 1920x1200 pixel).
But for people, who want to have Bento Classified, this link in the post above is very good, and they should install the skin from this link. This is just my opinion.
I don't want to have influence in this thread of the Winamp Wishlist here about further decisions.

The Bento skin does actually have an option to show the Playlist underneath the main window...

Options menu > Appearance > Show Playlist tab

You can then select the Playlist tab and resize to taste.
