When you have connected to your station I was just wondering... Can people instantly hear you and then when the music starts the mic goes off?

depending on the bitrate there will be a delay

the higher the bitrate the lower the delay

this you cannot avoid as nothing is realtime,

once you are streaming the music and mic will be a continuous stream albeit delayed,
