Help with online radio station?
Im thinking about starting an online radio station with two mates, using shoutcast, and i was wondering how to do it if we were in different places? I would be at my house streaming it and with the mixing desk/software, and one mate would be talking at his house with a mic, and another mate at his house with a mic. Is there any way that i could get thier audio, live, as an input using some software or website or other streaming?

Streaming is usually delayed (buffering) and Shoutcast only has the ability to accept input from one source at a time. Some people have had success using skype - where the remote DJs are skyping to the master DJ, who is running Winamp + DSP in Soundcard mode. That DJ is pushing the combined audio to the shoutcast server.
It'll take some setting up, but it's probably your best bet. |
