Missing CDG and Pacemaker Plugins

A few days ago after talking to a friend who uses winamp to play karaoke files, I logged onto the winamp site. Following my friend's instructions, I searched for and found CDG and Pacemaker plugins, which he said were necessary to play karaoke files.

Today, I decided to download a free version of winamp. To my amazement, I now can't find the CDG and Pacemaker plugins. What happened to them? If these plugins are no longer available, what plugins can I install to allow winamp to play karaoke files?

They are not missing. The Winamp.com search function is borked.

Try the following Google searches restricted to Winamp.com plug-ins...
CDG

Pacemaker

The PaceMaker plugin is NOT needed, but here it is anyway: PaceMaker

[EDIT] --> Sorry JonnyMac. Didn't know you were posting too.

Thanks, JohnnyMac,

I found a CDG plugin via Google and installed it. At least, I hope it installed. I won't know for sure until I get some karaoke tracks on my hard drive.

After a few more attempts, I was able to download Pacemaker via the Winamp site. I installed Pacemaker, and it looks like it will work. I also tried again to find CDG using the Winamp's Search/For function but was unsuccessful.

Thanks, Bubba Smith,

I appreciate your response to my post about the CDG and Pacemaker plugins. As I reported to JohnnyMac, I've downloaded and installed both plugins in Winamp.

Regarding your view that Pacemaker isn't required, you may not be entirely correct. True, if all goes well, Winamp can play karaoke tracks with only CDG installed. However, Pacemaker supplies the following functions:

Speed up or slow down the music tempo without affecting the music key (pitch)

Change the music key (pitch) without affecting the tempo

Change the music playback rate as if a vinyl record was played at a higher or lower rate than rated

Of the three, only the key-change function interests me. I've never known the other two functions to be used during a karaoke show. However, singers occasionally need a key change to suit their voice range.

Whichever file format the files are make sure you don't have the input plug-in set to mono. Basically do the opposite of the following...
Mono Output for Various File Formats
Otherwise, please contact the developer of the PaceMaker plug-in (<--- home page). Also, maybe this from the PaceMaker FAQ.

I have old version of CDG & pacemaker of these plugins.
These 2 plugins don't work with new version of winamp.
I tested with old version of winamp & I get answer, but with newest versions like 5.22 randomly give errors.
this reason is for versions of winamp or something else?

I am sorry, but I don't fully understand what you are asking. If an outdated third party plug-in does not work, do not use it. If you are having problems newest of version of a third party plug-in, please contact the developer/author for support or help.

Has anyone noticed any difference between the older versions of pacemaker and the new version 2.1? I use 1.32 now and don't want to upgrade unless it's worth it.

Timing Issues with MP3+G Karaoke Playback

I have tried burning my CGDs to MP3+G, and have been successful in backing them up.

Most play well, but a very few (I think it tends to be some Sound Choice disks) have lyric/music timing issues. I realize i can fix each time I play, using a plug-in, however has anyone a permanent fox for these?

Using:

XP
Plextor USB External burner
CDR-Win - or - MP3Toolz

Playback:
WinAmp
CDG(MP3+G+ plug-in
