God dammit, do I have to hold everyone's hand?! The CT pack is an installer so if you can't work that you fail at life. Otherwise the xml file(s) need to be put in Winamp\Plugins\ColorThemes\%skinname%

this might be a stupid question but why is every skin so dark? even the itunes color themes ones are still dark.
i hate iTunes but the color scheme is so easy on the eyes and easy to browse. It seems everything in winamp is dark and it makes it harder to read and enjoy the music listening experiance

Because we like dark themes. If you want to make a lighter one, install the colour editor and get to work. Have you looked the the Bright Themes, Lighten Up, Obaba's? Anyway, light text on a dark background is much easier to read.

A lot of these color themes are really nice! However, some of them (wTunes is one, and that one I really like) make the text (artist & song title) kinda blurry in winshade mode. Why is this...?

Hey this is my first attempt at making a colour scheme, I was inspired by " City Night ( neorth mod) " I liked the yellow but I wanted lots more yellow! ( although I think I may of gone slightly over board)
hope at least a few people like it code: please excuse my desktop on the print screen forgot to crop Oh also I used paint to save my print screen and thusly the image has lost some colour intensity ( the yellow is actually very yellow )

first of allllll..... why do i have to leave winamp and search google to find this f'in thread..... secondly what happens if i install 5.52 winamp and i get a classic skin and no option for bento.... thirdly pressing f5 does nothing. fourthly why can't my account 'bodyrockdjs' not post on this mf'in forum.

yeah but it's not quite right since all he (admittedly) did was take "default | orange" and give it a darker orange. if you look at egg's it's got some great little gradients going on, and full out matches Noir. And since Royale Noir is pretty close to Royale Zune i was hoping it wouldn't be much trouble for him to give the same treatment to the Blue Zune mod i posted above.

Hello.
Sorry for this (stupid?) question: I have tried to find an easy answer to my problem, but without succsess. What I want to to:  I want to make the rating Starts brighter. What entry in the color-preset.xml must be edited? It it that simple at all? Or is ist much more work? What I did so far: I was able to simply create an copied version of the default-oragne color theme, and give it an new name, which i can choose within Winamp. (Thats not much, I know, but took me long enough.:-( So, if anyone could give me some hints... Palli |
