[How to setup a server on a webhost?]

My webhost does support this how would i go about setting one up on my webhost?

you cant.

See shoutcast sucks up big time bandwidth. Webhosts don't like this because they expect you to be hosting a webpage on it which does not use that much.

However, you need root access to the server and you need to be very familiar with things such as putty and ssh (linux at its finest).

And you have to have a dedicated server (expensive). "Shared Hosting" (chap, popular) will not work for this.

Your best bet is to go with a provider and start off small.

if your host supports it you need shell access to the server and install the server

he needs to install it or give you the access to do it.
