Play URL entries

How do you edit the 'play URL' pull-down list in the file menu?

This question has probably been answered already but the seach function appears to be down, so I hope you'll forgive me for not wading through all 1057 pages of this forum. It wasn't in any of the links contained within the "How to find the answer (READ ME FIRST)" thread either. Thanks in advance.

Regards, Fred

They're contained in the Winamp INI file under RecentURL#x where x = a Winamp defined number to identify the URL by. The ones marked 0, 1 and 2 are the most recent. If you would like to delete them, just open the file up in a text editor with Winamp not running, edit, save and close. Restart Winamp, problem solved.

Take a look at the thread in my sig. It has a rather comprehensive listing of most of the Winamp INI features

hope this helps, jmat

[edit] the winamp ini file is contained in the directory where you have installed Winamp (usually C:\Program Files\Winamp\) under winamp.ini [/edit]

Thanks for such a prompt reply.

However, I still require further direction because I can't find this INI file to which you refer. Here's a screen-shot of the program folder:

You couldn't find it straight away because you've got Windows configured to hide extensions.

Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab
Uncheck "hide extensions for known filetypes"

You'll then see the .ini at the end of the filename.
