Nevex, what she was thinking about and what followed is none of your damn business.

And the pyrox, if it was possible (ill get to that), an option on the config panel could easily be added to select what, exactly, would be launced...classic vis, AVS, Tripex...

And far as possibility, Ive been talking to peter (neptune, mercury fame) and he is gonna try to put it in Jupiter, and ive been talking to Geiss, the maker of classic vis, about any possible changes that may need to be made.

Wink

End of the week. Hmmm, in Europe it's still seven hours before his deadline runs out. That is seven hours too much... But if we have waited this long lets give him the time he needs.

According to me it is Bartibartman, rev(hu) (LyricsAMP) and ofcourse the Nullsoft people that makes Winamp3 to the best audioprogram - ever.

Take the time you need - You are worth it.

V2.0 out now

Sorry for the delay...
But I am not a liar, hehe
In germany it´s now 21.44
(... so I was over 2 hours faster than I thought, hihi)

The good thing: MMD3 V2.0 is published...
download at deviantart

The bad thing: I´m really frustrated. I spent more than 2 days to find a bug in the new version. Sometimes my system crashes (very hard) while closing winamp. Not the same old problem with the Truetpye-fonts.
Now I have found it.

It´s the little fu#*ing "addSubMenu" maki command. Don´t know why. But if you use this in a script. Winamp sometimes crashes. Now I have made the new Config-Menu without submenus. No problem but the debugging was not funny.

Ok whats new:
- now 70 ColorThemes
- System-Menu-Button in all windows
- Playlist winshade mode. (Hey Plague, the drawer thing for the playlist is cool but this must wait for v2.1... I will you contact you)
- Glowing effect for the main player buttons
- new scripts for controlling the Volume/Bass/Treble knobs
- "Automatic always on top" in winshade modes now working
- new config Button for Songticker/Default Winshade mode/Drawer mode
- DoubleClick on Songticker now opens ID3 tag editor
- Replaced all TTF-Fonts with Bitmap-Fonts
- Replaced Advanced Visualization #1
- updated songinfo-script (thanks Plague for the info)
- now all Buttons have their Tooltips
- New GFX for Popupmenus
- extra window for ColorThemes
- and a lot of smaller bug fixes
- DFX skin (published here a few days ago)

May I be the first to say

I'm not gonna stop staring at this thing for the next like 5 hours

[edit] what's up with the super big time text and super small ticker text in the winshades?

/me clicks and download.

"Hail to the King, Baby!"

/me pores over skin details.

"Excellent!"

I like what you did to the backgrounds for the right-click menus (and the normal ones too). Very nice and smooth.

Most of the features you implemented I wouldn't use that much as Winamp 3 is now mostly in MMD3 horizontal winshade mode, but all are very nice improvements.

Cheers! Another great job!

wow!

I just noticed this skin, it's INCREDIBLE! I guess the only thing is that I liked the Spectrum analyser's look in the 1.0 version more than the 2.0's. other than that, LOVE vertical mode, beautiful color themes, A++

Why is it that some of us poor folks keep getting the error
Assertion Failed:
expression: str2!=Null
File: C:\projects\studio\bfc\std.cpp
Line: 369

even with this latest MMD3 v2.0

Any help will be appreciated. I really love this but cannot get to use it

that seems to be the problem when ur using the latest bulid #491, the only way around is to used either bulid 488 or bulid 490.

i really hope this could be fixed, build 491 is soo good...

Hm. F#&k...

Error has to do something with the following lines in playertools.m

PHP Code:
ConfigItem item;
item Config.getItem("Playlist editor");
if (
item != NULL) {

attr_repeat item.getAttribute("repeat");

attr_shuffle item.getAttribute("shuffle");
}
item Config.getItem("Audio options");
if (
item != NULL) {

attr_crossfade item.getAttribute("Enable crossfading");

if (item != NULL) generates the "Assertion Failed" message

Anybody knows a workaround?
Or do you think it is a bug in build #491 ?

Hi Nevex and kiilu,

Don´t know what skin I will do next. I get a lot of requests for all sort of skins. XP is difficult for me. At the moment I have only the good old WIN98 installed.

speaking of that..
your DivX skin is great, but there's a couple of bugs in it:
1. when running it in fullscreen, the quality drawer doesn't work and the position bar is misplaced (it pops up above the lcd all teh time, blinking..)
2. could you implement a "lock to video window" feature?
cos, it's really annoying when the videowindow resize itself on startup so the controls gets covered..

other than that, I think it's really great!

on a sidenote:
MMD3 works great for me on #491

Don't think this has to do with #491 cause Mercury works fine and so does iFlex. However, the Orbface gives an assertion error
"studio.config.textbg"
Expression:bits!=Null
File:C:\Projects\studio\bfc\bitmap.cpp
Line:133

Since it #491 works for some skins, I'm guessing its not the 491.

Glad to know that you've noted it.

/edit/ Yes, its working fine for some people! /edit/

it's strange though, cos it really seems to be that part of the script which is causing all the trouble, but MMD3 works fine for me although some other skins with that very same maki code doesn't work...
VERY strange behaviour!

Yeah, really strange...
However, The Dre did remove just the following part

ConfigItem item;
item = Config.getItem("Playlist editor");
if (item != NULL) {
attr_repeat = item.getAttribute("repeat");
attr_shuffle = item.getAttribute("shuffle");
}
in this thread and recompiled it and it worked!!!
I found that part in the playertools.m file, but unfortunately, I do not know how to compile Could someone tell me how I could compile the edited file? Once compiled, will the .maki file be generated automatically?

Please help.... I really love this skin and am really upset I've not been able to use v2.0 so long after it has been released.

deleting those lines would remove the possibility to use the x-fade, repeat and shuffle buttons from a maki generated menu..

wonderful, wonderful job on this skin. this skin is the only reason i am using winamp3 at all.
i have one little complaint. in your latest version, the size of the font you have displayed is large enough that if one is displaying the time remaining, the negative sign cuts off half the seconds for songs 10:00 minutes and longer. if something is 100+ minutes, such as a shoutcast stream or a large file, the seconds disappear altogether. i was wondering if im simply missing an option to change the size of that font, is it something that can be fixed, or am i going to have to live with it.

thanks much for this beautiful skin...

you can report it...

*here*

find me the latest wal, and i'll update it for you at home.
feel free to send money too

[edit]nm, i'll thief it from devart.

if anybody else has like problems, feel free to make a thread about it, and i'll see what can be done about getting it stickyed. It's probably a one-off database screwup, but just in case, can anybody else check their skins?

Ah, cool...

Thanks binary hero, for the fast reply.
I think yesterday it was the new version, today the old one.
...and I received a few mails from users reporting me that they can´t download MMD3 from winamp.com !?

I´m on the road at the moment. So I can only give you the link to the latest version on deviantart:

http://www.deviantart.com/download/772598

Screenshot for the Preview-Image attached in this post.

Thanks a lot...
