Where would you like to visit, and why?

Vacation time is coming (not nearly fast enough) and it got me to wondering where I'd like to go on holiday this year.
I have a few ideas, but would love to hear some travel suggestions from the group.
I'm thinking polynesian.

My future grave site. I'm only 16 and it's all I have to look forward to. Hope no one pisses on it.

I'd like to go the the island of Ibiza.
Lay around the beach all day with nothing on.
Hang out with beautiful women all day and night.
Go clubbing all night with the best DJ's in the world.

Please don't wake me up right now...
I'm having too much fun...

Nope, the other kids just broke my remote control to the world, shit on it, and lit it on fire.

Plus I have some really strong mood swings some times.

A cold fog blew inland as his shakey hand once more tried to find a vein with the needle attached to the eyedropper.
A binky they called it, scrap-together hypodermic syringe choice of junkies everywhere.
He'd spent every cent he had on him on the "Body Bag" junk he was trying to slam, he was looking for that last rush, the goodbye song of the angels, the last desperate act after discovering there was no way Scotty was going to be beaming him up.
"Life sucks", he muttered as the spurt of red entered the eyedropper, and he released the belt and began to geez the dope into his arm.
As the last of it entered his bloodstream he closed his eyes and waited for the moment...the feel of the reapers hand on his shoulder.
Abruptly his eyes sprang open in horror.
Burned again.
"Damnit" he said as he fired up his testarosa, and headed back to the pier where his yacht was tied up, nearly running over a wino passed out on the curb, "I just don't have any luck at all".

My life in a nutshell...hardly!

Actually I would like to visit the Outer Banks again, it was very beautiful and peaceful.

I'd sort of like to visit the outer limits again, but I doubt my old heart could stand the strain.

Trippin through tha Nam.

Things were fine, in 69,
weed, and acid, and Van Tran's wine.
An 8 way hit, why, I'll do four!
The jungle never looked like *This* before.
The Colors flashed, the image grew,
I saw the world I thought I knew.
Strange though it may seem to be,
I saw the other side of me.

You literally took the words out my mouth. That`s a great party spot, but for a vacation,I would enjoy going to most of Europe, the Middle east, South America, Australia, but most of all, Middle Asia and South Asia.

I don`t know why, but I am extremely attracted to Thailand. I think I might move there some day.

I feel like this won't go away no matter how hard i try to squeeze my eyes shut so I can't see the pain in you, this pain in me. And everything i can say to you won't help you, everything you need is right in front of you, just take it. I know that i'm not really here to represent what i'm not clear.

I'd like to go to Australia (again - it would be my 3rd time). I don't care about airsickness (8 times on the way back alone), it is a beautiful country.

I'd like to go to the National Library of Australia in Canberra for the excellent exhibition: Treasures from the World's Great Libraries. Among the exquisite collection of exhibits are Einstein's manuscript of an article on his special theory of relativity, the autographed score of Mozart's Requiem, and a 15th century print of Chaucer's "The Canterbury Tales", to name just a few. The exhibition ends on 24 February.

In fact, I will be going on 11 February! Yay! *brag* *brag* *brag*

There are a number of places I wanted to go to and have been, but more remain unvisited. They are:

1)New York
1.5)Before September, I wanted to go to the gallery at the top of the WTC.
2)Other places in America, generally
3)Rio de Janeiro
4)Japan - Tokyo and Osaka
5)Milan, Rome, and Maranello, Italy.
6)Australia, various places
7)Hawaii
8)Berlin, Germany and/or Prague, Czech Republic.

Places I've been that were great and are worth going to:

1)Munich, Germany.
2)Paris, France.
3)The Loire Valley, France (so peaceful, serene, and stunningly beautiful; the culture is fantastic, too)
4)Gibraltar, Spain (UK Territory).
5)London (so diverse)
6)Amsterdam, the Netherlands (not just for cannabis or hookers)
7)Zakynthos, Greece.
8)Wexford and Cork, Rep. of Ireland

Different reasons, but mainly cultural. I've probably missed a few off the list, but hey.

I'm returning to Honduras again at the end of this month. Some of the people who were around the forum last year might remember when I posted about that. Should be fun.

The place I'd really like to visit Crete, Greece. I just love the Greek culture. I'm even taking Greek for Foreign Language soon

eh, heh.

Italy was absolutely breathtaking, but I'm not too particularly impressed with England. Scotland was one sweet place though

You went to the wrong places. All Scotland has is hills. Go to Leicester Square, in London. Fantastic! Lot of Aberdeen Angus Steak Houses round there, though

Possibly the wrong places, but here's what I felt was wrong with England (as a vacation spot. Don't take this as a flame... maybe just as pointers for improvement):

The weather is miserable
Compared to the other European nations, it looks filthy. I think that's because the weather makes everything look grey
It's pretty much the only 1st world nation that drives on the left side of the road (Ozland and NZ may, I'm not sure)
The food is uninspiring
There are no interesting landscapes... it's all just farmland or towns
The taps are all squirrly (I hate having to mix water from two different faucets)
The currency is far too strong, making everything too expensive
The architecture isn't all too exciting. Compare London to Paris and you'll see what I mean
London is all low rise

It's not a great place to vacation. I don't know, maybe it's one of those places that's better to live in then visit, if that makes any sense. I wouldn't know, because I've never lived there.

It's pretty much the only 1st world nation that drives on the left side of the road (Ozland and NZ may, I'm not sure)True, but does that make it bad?
The food is uninspiring.
Not true. London is filled with fabulous eateries.
There are no interesting landscapes... it's all just farmland or towns. The lincolnshire wolds, the south downs, the new forest, the peak district, snowdonia, the cotswolds
The taps are all squirrly (I hate having to mix water from two different faucets) Eh?
The currency is far too strong, making everything too expensive. True.
The architecture isn't all too exciting. Compare London to Paris and you'll see what I mean. Hmm. The square mile in london. Bristol. Bath. Lincoln. York. Berwick.
I couldn't be arsed breaking it into separate quotes. But there you go. Don't generalise about our landscape!

Its like that for a reason.
When you are driving in your horse-drawn carrage you can draw you sword with your right hand and be protected against the oncoming traffic whilst controlling your horse with your left hand.
