My first DJ mix (trance)

About two months ago I started to learn DJing. Did a live show for family and some mixes for fun, but this is the first one I've actually recorded.
On tracks 9 & 10 I attempted a mashup and failed miserably.

Otherwise I think I did pretty good for a n00b.

Good job for your first mix Psythik!

If you want to reach a potentially larger audience, check out the Progressive House link in my sig. Soundcloud is full of EDM DJ's and musicians. They have free accounts there too if you do not want to pay anything. I believe a free account gives you either 120 or 240 minuets of storage there.

As far as the mashups go ... I have found they always seem to work out better if the songs are in the same, or similar, key.

Listening now, so far so good. I'm maybe 10 minutes in; not quite sure how far actually - the online player isn't real detailed. I like it.

I have a Soundcloud account, but last time I checked you can't upload entire mixes, hence my reason for using Mixcloud.

I've listened to the whole set a couple of times now, and although it was background music for other activity, I seemed to enjoy it.

Second mix is up!

Thought I'd do something a bit different from the norm for this one. Mixing is a bit harsh in some areas, but it's still tenfolds better than my first one, IMO. Enjoy!
