what kind of music is Norah Jones?

i've been wondering this for a while. some programs will classify her as jazz, pop, vocal, or something else.

Her genre is Rock (though more of a cross between Rock and Jazz)...her style can be considered Vocal Jazz or Contemporary Jazz.

Yes. Pop Rock/Jazz, actually. Rock's become a giant "catch-all" genre. There are hundreds of musical styles under it, including many that don't sound like rock at all to me. Norah Jones, in my opinion, is piano-vocal pop jazz, but I guess it might fit under the "Rock" classification.

"Ballads, Contemporary Jazz, Jazz Blues, Vocal Jazz" are some of the genres she's listed in.
