norton has some great tools that'll scan your entire hardrive give you a list of errors and then group them according to hazzordness. then you can choose to fix them automaticly or manualy
it comes as part of the Norton Utitlities Package. |

Yeah, Norton Systemworks is ok, as long as you select what you want to use. Norton System Checker, and Norton Windoctor are the tools that you want. Also Norton Speed Disk, is great as it moves your swapfile to the front of the drive.

Hmm, gotta go wth Hammer98. Guaranteed to remove all the corrupted files on your harddrive.
The same manufacturers have also released a program to work on more specific sectors of the disk, eg: IcePick2000. ![]() |

![]() ![]() damn, lol at my self no wonder i could not find it! ![]() i dont want to format my drive, scan disk seems to not work anymore. if my computer freezs and i have to shut it down by killing the power when it trys to scan it itll scan forever. my errors are usaly small (mainly with my video playback) most times every thing works fine. anybody think of something easy. no, i have not tryed deleting my programs because i dont think its their fault. maybe some sort of a common file between them all. |

I use Nuts & Bolts. It does have some compatibility probs with win98, but you can dl an update for it. I've bin using it for years, and i get very few errors. highly reccomended.
