NSIS Installer as Event Message File?
Hello!
Can I use NSIS-installer (installer.exe) as Event Message File, which will be used by Windows Event Viewer? I need to set any Event ID, which will be writing to an existing "Application" log without the annoying "The description for Event ID cannot be found" message. It's possible without secondary DLL or EXE? Thanks for answers. Sorry for my English. |

Maybe, NSIS-installer (exe) already has some standart built-in event IDs? I tried to use 1,0,32,1000 values (decimal), but - unsuccessfully. =( Maybe, I can add one message ID into finish exe-installer manually?

Use !packhdr to execute Resource Hacker, it can add a message table. It makes little sense for a installer to do this since the path needs to be stored in the registry IIRC.
