Winamp Installer warning message contains long URL address

Hi,

Great work on Winamp! However, I noticed some areas which improvements are needed.

Please see the attachment. The warning message shown from Winamp Installer contains long URL address which cannot be clicked. Users are not able to be benefit from that static long URL address. Furthermore, most users would not bother to copy the long URL address on their browsers.

There's two alternative ways to improve this. First, make the long URL address as a hyperlink that responds to mouse click. Second, use a URL shortener. E.g. bit.ly, t.co, goo.gl.

By doing that, you improve usability of Winamp!

My two bytes.

to make a clickable 'link' we'd have to make a new plug-in for the installer to be able to do it and there just wasn't the resources to do it. also obfuscating the true url would lead to more issues from not knowing where things are being directed to - not something i think should be done as it's possible for someone to hack the installer and override it (got to think of people's security, etc).

finally, it is possible to get the url by making sure the messagebox is active, pressing Ctrl+C and pasting it into notepad (or the text editor of choice) and then copying the url from the text. yes it's not ideal but most people generally seem to have the required DirectX updates on their machines now (which is pretty much only needed if using the Milkdrop visualisation plug-in).

i can understand where you're coming from and a clickable link would be nice but there's just not the resources to do that when there's the main player and now an android app to support, which means the installer is sadly lower down the priority list (as / when time arrives then that may be changed).
