winamp crashes

Whenever I open Winamp & play a song, as soon as it starts I get an error message, saying Winamp has encountered a promblem & needs to close.

The error signature is:
AppName: winamp.exe AppVer: 5.0.0.9 ModName: gen_ml.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 000035b1

This has been happening for a while now, it just started happening & I couldn't discover why so I ended up just not using Winamp because of it. I kept on trying to uninstall & reinstall & I've now installed Winamp 5.09 but that's made no difference, which leads me to believe that it's nothing to do with Winamp.

I've included a hijack text file & any help you have would be very useful. I've been running Spyware Doctor & Spybot - Search & Destroy for a while & that doesn't help the problem.

Oh, & I don't quite know what my specs are & so on, but I'm running WinXP.

When you reinstalled, did you do a clean install?

Are you on a limited user account?
