Winamp wont discover my ipod.

hey ive just downloaded winamp for the first time today so sorry if its somethin really simple :/


anyway i have my ipod plugged in via usb cable but when i click discover under the devices tab nothing happens. nothing comes up at all.

i have ipod 4G with the latest update
and winamp v5.621.

ive looked around unded tech support and in tutorials but i still havnt figured it out.
