Playlists locked up
I'm trying to add a song to one of my playlists, but it fails, giving me an "Error saving playlist" message: "Cannot save playlist: Error writing to file or file is read-only."
I've had no previous problems adding songs to my playlists in the 3 months I've been using Winamp. Why now? I have not changed any playlists to read-only, so I doubt that could actually be what's happening here. Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Have you tried saving the playlist to a different name and then replacing the old file with the new one manualy? Possible reasons could be bad hdd, corrupted file system, compressed file/folder (maybe) or virus.

Thanks, Thinktink. The solution turned out to be easier even... yet strange. I.e., it simply started working normally this morning after PC restart. Last night, when the problem arose, I did restart WinAmp, which had no effect. But apparently a full computer reboot resolved the anomaly. Too bad we can't simply do that to resolve marital issues, right?
