How to apply a view to a playlist?
I have Winamp 5.666. I have built a playlist using multiple views on the db:
type = "0" AND (year >= "1970" AND year < "1980") AND (genre HAS "Rock" OR genre HAS "Pop" OR genre HAS "Soul" OR genre HAS "r&b" OR genre HAS "country") and (((type = 0) AND (year isempty)) AND ((genre == "Rock") OR (genre == "Pop") OR (genre == "R&B") OR (genre == "Soul") OR genre HAS "country" OR (genre isempty))) The resulting playlist needs to be pared down further (I don't want every track from every album that meats the original search criteria) and would like to create a view to help organize the list for this task. I can't seem to figure out a way to build a view using a playlist instead of the whole library. Can it be done? Thanks in advance for any help. ![]() Last edited by FlipFitch; 18th February 2017 at 05:04. Reason: "do" > "to" |

You can use the "Jump to file" search mode in the Playlist Editor, but that searches only the titles created by the ATF string. Maybe sorting your playlist could help. Or, create a new playlist from a new Smartview in the Library. This time, try combining your 2 existing Smartviews and adding new search criteria so the list is "pared down further". It is also possible to modify your existing Smartviews by using the Smartview Query Language in the "Search" bar and the "Refine" bar. Go to "Advanced mode" when editing any Smartview for the documentation. To display the 'Refine' bar: Preferences > Media Library > Local Library > Advanced Library Preferences > check-mark at "Display 'Refine' search field in album views" Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, Winamp 5.666, Bento Skin |
