Mic and Winamp and shoutcast

i use shoutcast and winamp to stream my internet radio works great on my PC win 7 pro.

mic and music at same time no problem.

Here is my problem my dell laptop I cant get the mic to work.
I have winamp set. If I choose soundcard the music stops and sounds crap but the mic will work.

is there a shoutcast plugin for a mic to work with good music playing/

Someone from the winamp said to come here and ask.

what os on the laptop?

is the laptop mic internal, or plug-in?

have you checked the win mixer... mic input enabled?

usually, soundcard mode is required to use the mic to voiceover a shoutcast source. and yes, it is cpu intensive.

I lot of DJ's now use software such as Voicemeeter to mix the audio between microphones and music sources.
