Ditto.

But I'd still rather listen to Timmy Mallet than Steps, S Club 7 or Atomic Kitten. Without hesitation...

It was the dodgy porn mpeg that caused the system freeze. Soulseek is just an efficient piece of code (I could've written it myself). It must've been something else....

I will admit - soulseek is a resourse grabber. But I'm using it here on a 400 Celeron. Nos problemos. This machine is just a download station/browser/mp3 player.

My initial comment - bollox!!!!! Why not open a new thread and chat your jaws off in there with your new chum??? I can't understand why Justin Timberlake was mentioned in a rock thread. Unless you confused the word 'rock' with 'cock'?

Thankx for the suggestion Cylob but I’m really having lots of trouble now(exams)..........can’t come here over & over & teach you all something 'bout pop
And sorry for mentioning Justin there.........actually what could I do if nobody asks for who’s your favorite pop star?I can’t make all the threads ‘bout pop after all.
But not to worry now...........someone has got company

*is risking some coolness here*

First: I haven't hardly any knowledge of Westlife.....I know like two songs, if that.

I'm more of an Nsync'er.....Anti-BSB though...

Just wanted to get that out there and clear the air.

And hey..Cylob....*grins* I kinda like Steps...*ducks*

I like vocal talent....so I think that's why I'm drawn to a lot of vocal groups (the term "Boy Band" annoy's me). My only complaint is that many don't write songs for themselves. Mostly, the ones I like do write a portion of the songs....that's better then nothing though.

Course....my real love and passion. Darren Hayes/Savage Garden........he's amazing.

That all depends on the artists, occasion and type of performance.

With most pop artist I think people fail to take into consideration that the artists are doing a lot of moving and dancing on that stage.....a backup track comes into play then.

Most award shows and TV performances are encouraged to be lip-synced by the producers.

Then..you have the ones that really don't sing. (Millie-Vanillie (sp?) type!)

Normally I can easily tell when the artists I like are lip-syncing......I'm smarter then that. I'm not gonna say they don't do...I just am saying it doesn't happen as often as people think. It's become this stigma attached to "pop" artists.

Jess (as you can see...I really DO have an opinion on everything)

Put it also makes their concerts quite pointless as the concert goer is not actually hearing the "artist's" ability, or lack thereof, to perform live, ie Britney Spears.
