Pictures of the day [February 11]

Hey everybody,

Yes, it is already February 11 here so don't complain

Pedestrians make their way across Lieutenant Shmidt Bridge on the River Neva in St. Petersburg at sunset February 10, 2004. Russia's second city is experiencing an extreme cold spell with temperatures plunging to -18 degrees Celsius.

Now the last two are just destined to be up for a caption competition so if anyone has a funny idea for any of them two, go ahead and post them!

This is the German "Sports picture of the year" which was taken just before the start of a soccer game when fans threw a smoke and light rocket onto the field.

Mychtar, a Borzoi, wears a bow tie and gets cooled with fans while waiting to be judged at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show at Madison Square Garden in New York February 10, 2004. Shuvee (R), also a Borzoi, will be competing later this afternoon.
