Shoutacast Server 2 multi stream with SAM
Hello to everyone. My first time writing here!
Well, I come from the "shoutcast 1" family, so making my change into the "new" (as if is THAT new) turn out to be somehow difficult. I use SAM Broadcaster 4.9.1 to make my streaming to a server I have, but I also have a local connection which is supposed to be other ways to connect an try to listen to the radio. There's where Shoutcast comes in. I installed it in my Windows Server 2003 and I want to run a multibroadcast in many qualities. I want to offer to kinds of mp3 (96kbps and 128kbps) and AAC. So I want to run 3 stream to my new shoucast server 2. I made my configuration as I got it from the Wiki and the Confs files. So what I did was this: Quote:
According to the log and the SAM the stream and all is OK, the thins is when I try to listen to them. Stream 2 and 3 wont work, just the first I configure. What I'm I doing wrong? This is the LOG I get. Quote:

you don't have any authhash's associated for the streams (based on the [YP2] No authhash found for stream config #2. Aborting registering stream with YP. message).
unless streams have an authhash when the stream is set to be public, the DNAS will refuse client connections. see http://wiki.winamp.com/wiki/SHOUTcas...ash_Management (though i cannot remember how differently SAM does things for it for you or not to get that). -daz |

it's still showing the same error on the second stream as though it's being overriden on a per-stream basis ie. via streampublicserver.

Thanks! I got it working when got the autorization hash.
Now, the only problem I have is that the .pls that the server generates has the local ip address and not the public IP. What can the problem be? I put it as publicserver=always |

it depends on where you're obtaining the pls from since if accessing via the /listen.pls option, it will base it on the host address you're using to access the page i.e. if on localhost it'll return localhost.
if the DNAS is showing a valid YP connection then it most likely is providing the correct playlist for clients (ignoring the issue with the main site not updating at the moment). i can check the url if you want (either here or via pm if you prefer to keep it private whilst testing). -daz |
