audio files sped up and soundcard audio slowed down with shoutcast
Hi, I am having issues with the sound coming from shoutcast. Certain audio files I play are extremely sped up and my own audio using soundcard audio is extremely slowed down. Only MP3s that play are very high quality ones. Any idea why ?

Any files under 96kbps are super sped up when playing

I found if I play anything other than 44100Hz files it either speeds them up or slows them down. I assume this because my default playback on my computer is 44100 ? Never had this issue on my old PC.

No, that sounds about right because it transcodes the files to 44.1khz (by default I believe). People seem to have issues when they switch around between sample rates, that's why you're better sticking to one sample rate all the way through.
