winamp/vista64/MOTUinterface - no sound - HELP.

so ive got this MOTU external audio interface for recording and stuff, and it is acting as my sound card.

ive got my headphones set to "MOTU Main 1-2" and my Alesis monitors set to "MOTU Analog 1-2", so its a quick switch back and forth for listening.

when i switch winamps (options/pref/output/directsound) to go out "MOTU Main 1-2", winamp plays fine througth the headphones. All other programs do fine through Main 1-2 (headphones)...

but switching output to Analog 1-2 in winamp...........NO SOUND. every program i ever run does fine switching back and forth, whether i change output options within the programs themselves or do an overall output change using windows, no matter what, everything i run can handle all of that just fine.

but winamp, no. basically, i can hear winamp in my phones, but not on my speakers.....

its killing me. i love winamp. i refuse to use anything else...

WHAT GIVES???
