Well, I agree, it is kinda nice...

As I can't seem to get beyond just slapping that new shader on any preset I see at the moment, I decided to go back to the basics once again.

Here's something in PS1.

The title of this thread is becoming more and more incorrect.

PS1 once more.

Can someone tell me if this is working the same on a non-widescreen monitor?

Unfortunately not - see attached what it looks like on my GeForce 7600. Don't think it has to do with the screen resolution because it does not significantly change when I stretch the window in either direction.

Wait: It seems to come much closer to your image when I set post processing / texture wrap to OFF !!!!

guees it's the old texture-wrap-bug, which is always deactivated on some video cards like my old Radeon9600.

if turned off, it looks like your screenshot.

more PS1 fun (just a minor parameter play)

Hmm, a bug? That might explain some other presets that don't really work for me. I guess I'll just have to make sure I turn off texture wrap when I work on a preset in the future.

Here's yet another PS1 preset, although it's somewhat lame in the reactivity department. Pretty colors, though.

Also, I just saw I effed up the code for this one (and its brethren). Here's a fixed-ish version.

I decided to live out an obsession with a certain composite shader to rid me of the urge to slap it on everything I see. By slapping it onto every preset I had and seeing which one is nice. I think I've been successful - looking at it makes me sick now.

Anyway, enjoy 75 presets that all have the same finish - I'd recommend choosing a few you like and keeping them with the rest of your preset lists while you keep the rest stashed away (e.g in your recycling bin) so as to avoid being faced by the same shader again and again and again and...

I've been playing with shaders - again.
One day I'll figure out how to actually write a good one from scratch.

Hey, don't you want to post your presets for the contest? They seem REALLY able to win it...

I'm the kind of guy who does stuff at the last minute, so don't expect me to submit anything early. I'll most likely just grab a few of my favourites... Also, I was under the impression that it's not so much a contest, but rather a collection of stuff to pack with the next Winamp...

Anyway, some more PS1 presets featuring multi-instance custom shapes.

Well, time for some PS2 stuff again.

Here's flexi's hue burst preset with a touch of the "psychotic flower" custom shapes, and a bit more colour...

Somehow I'm still not entirely satisfied with this, but it's a more or less decent PS1 adaption.
With different beat code, by martin/nitorami.

Note to self: under no circumstances, start editing presets past 1 am.

4:30 am again

Here's something nice and simple.

nice to see you back.
and you're with excellent remixes!
my favorites are the flowercraft stuff, martin's mettalics remixes and of course the word machine.

Yeah, I think I nailed how to properly do colorcycling in Flowercraft: just do it slowly.

Other than that, both you and martin have awesome shaders, and I'm slowly getting how to properly use or modify them to suit my tastes.

The word machine will need some more crazy remixing in the future, though. It's a bit tame at the moment.

Mhhm, currently I'm trying to get a jellyer "Jelly" shader...

Which means I still have to tune this one a lot when I get the time.

Well, I'mI had not dead. The second GPU on my new PC's gfx card is, though, which is part of why I'm not fiddling around on PS3 presets... yet.

So, back to the roots - here's a try at doing some random preset coloration in PS1.
