I Need Help Troubleshooting ShoutCast Server, I'm Running A 2wire 1701HG, Thanks!

(I'm Going To Be Detailed As Possible)

I'm struggling setting up my ShoutCast Server; I think I almost did everything, supposedly I forwarded my ports# 8000-8001 to Public IP in my DSL 2wire 1701HG, to both protocols TCP and UDP.

Here's EXAMPLE:

"TCP 8000-8001 71.134.15.xx
UDP 8000-8001 71.134.15.xx"

Now my TCP/IP settings is disabled for now, because i don't know which IP Addresses To Put.

(Detail Connections From My 2wire Router)

"Internet Connection Details

I get errors on my GUI Nullsoft 1.9.8 ShoutCast Server,
the same annoying message as everyone else who has problems with their server, when TCP/IP is disabled, the same thing happens when its enabled. By enabling I mean: inserting what you see above: 192.168.1.197 and the rest onto my TCP/IP settings...

ERROR!

"[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (Cannot see your station/computer (IP: 71.134.15.xx:8000) from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache (Connection refused).)"

I went to Radio Toolbox for the port scan for port# 8000

(When Shoutcast Server Is Running I Get This)

"71.134.15.xx:8000 is Closed

I get this message Question: is 71.134.15.xx your IP, if not then you are behind a proxy, usually implemented by your ISP, this is well known to cause problems with YP services.
"

(When Shoutcast Server Is Not Running I Get This)

"71.134.15.xx:8000 is Closed

Reason Given: Connection refused More about this error: This essentially means that the port is open to the internet but has no services associated with it. There is no firewall protection on this port.
"

As you see this stupid router is getting on my nerves...

I have general knowledge on Networking... but not enough experience especially running a radio station online which i desire a lot, please be kind hearted and guide me trough this process. Thanks a million!

Problem one:

Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes
Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.197
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.254

DHCP is not the best way to do this -- you should configure a static IP for the PC running the DNAS -- use an IP like 192.168.1.[10-50]. What's important is that the IP you choose is not in the range of IPs the router's DHCP server is giving to PCs that can do DHCP, and not the IP of the router itself.

Problem two:
Port Forwarding -- the public IP (which is also dynamic, BTW) should then be forwarded to the IP of the PC running the DNAS -- from your example, that would be 192.168.1.197 -- but since it is a dynamic IP, it may not be the same everytime you reboot the DNAS PC or the router, so the static IP of the DNAS PC should be there.

Your router make and model will help when you go to
www.portforward.com to find your router to get specific step-by-step instructions for both port forwarding and seting up a static IP on the DNAS PC.
