Equalizer Hotkeys
Hey folks. I'm sorry, I'v scoured the forums looking for this and I'v found loads of vague threads about the equalizer hotkeys, but none answering my question, so here it is:
Can hotkeys be arranged to alter specific frequencies on the equalizer? Is there a plugin that will do this, preferably with the Winamp equalizer? Thanks. |

There are not any Winamp global hot keys for the equalizer and I am not aware of any hotkey plug-ins that provide EQ support.
However, there are Winamp shortcut keys for the EQ. The drawback is they only work in classic skins... Quote:

in the plugins folder in the winamp folder (e.g. c:\program files\winamp\plugins) though when i finish up 1.0 with the extra hotkeys needed there will be an installer to handle it all for you.
preferences -> output then depending on the output plugin being used you just have to reduce the 'buffer length' option (is at the top for out_wave and on the second page for out_ds) -daz |

Adding the plugin was a dumb question. I found it. Thanks for the buffer advice.
Just some observation about the plugin: - It's missing the 60 band. - In the hotkey settings, those functions labeled "increase" actually decrease, and visa-versa. Otherwise, this is a great plugin man. And I appreciate it especially because it's almost a special request. Thanks! ![]() |

I take it back. No bar is missing, but the plugin *has* ceased to work. I can't figure it out. The hotkeys no longer function

i'll check out the first band not working (i know the reason for it but need to sort out the handling of the loading of the hotkeys a little bit better)
increase/decrease are working correctly for me on my main box (win2k / 5.112) and my work install (xp / 5.093) so i'm not sure why it'd be wrong for you.. -daz |

I can not reproduce the issue, global hotkeys along with the EQ hotkeys is working fine (WinXP | WA5.112). Do you get any error messages like "Hotkey registration failed! Couldn't register the following hotkeys"? Usually global hotkeys cease function correctly for one or more for the following reasons
