Source DSP will not connect (no error message)

Hello

I have setup and configured DNAS and then configured the source DSP in Winamp, following the instructions in the 'Getting Started Guide', but when I click 'connect', the fields are greyed out for half a second and then I just get 'not connected' under 'status' - no error message telling me what I've done wrong! (Please see included screenshot). I'm attempting to connect to an external host (Centova Cast) and have put in the correct IP and port provided by them.

It would be thoroughly awesome if someone could suggest what I might be doing wrong or neglecting to do. I've been using Edcast DSP up until now but have been getting really bad streaming so wanted to give Shoutcast a go as the support and community appear fantastic

Best,

Maia

looks like something is streaming on 192.240.102.195:9123

the odd thing is, at 192.240.102.195:9123 there is definitely DNAS v1

yet, you seem to be running DNAS v2

did you pluck 192.240.102.195:9123 out of your arse? or is that your DNAS server address and port?

edit: ahhh, I see, centova external (helps if I read the post, right) ... so, why the heck are you running sc_serv locally?

"If you don't like DNAS, write your own damn system"

So I did

Yeah that's the AutoDJ - I can't connect to the server to stream my own live mixing though :/

I thought I had to connect to the server locally in order to run the DSP? Sorry, is there a totally different thing I should be doing?

your local DNAS is irrelevant ... not needed, and not the problem

rather than "automatic mode", select legacy or v1 mode (not sure what it says)

you are stopping the autoDJ before trying to connect ... right? because if the autoDJ is connected, then you can't connect at the same time, obviously

Oh shit...

I'm so sorry! Of course I have to do that!

I was so sure I wasn't going to be *that* guy... how embarrassing.

Thank you very much for pointing that out, and sorry for wasting your time!
