editing start and stop times for songs

I'm new to winamp so bear with me if this has been asked and answered before. Can you, & if so, how do you edit the start/stop times for songs. All the answers I found said it can't be done but they were all dated pre '06. Thought maybe the feature has been added since.

Hi fechhelm,

I know of no way other than editing the songs themselves. There is an app called "MP3 DirectCut" that can be used to edit mp3 files. You can remove pieces and save what's left as a playable file. But that is probably not what you're looking for.

I use it to remove 'pops' and other short bits of corruption sometimes found at the beginning of files I download. It also lets me add fade out to the end of files that end abruptly. It has a few other useful features.

Winamp v5.9.0.9999 - Quinto Black CT v3.6 skin
Windows 11 Home 64-bit v21H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system
