it does not work on nVidia cards hence the requirements of an ATI card as detailed in the first post. the reason as was found in the dev forum is that nVidia's drivers don't support the required value needed.

Very nice plugin.
You should definitely try to make it work on nvidia cards as well so those less fortunate can get to use it as well. I'd like some more options though. here's some ideas: 1. options for how to treat pictures, fit to width or height, tile, resize and so on 2. the ability to decide which pictures to be selected for viewing when selecting based on playing file. Either with simplified RegEx or just keywords. Regex would work like this: .*(cover|folder)\.jpg would match for instance albumname-cover.jpg or folder.jpg. for simplisity this could be implemented as a keyword system so you just write in whatever words the pictures have to have to be chosen. 3. Another thing which is harder but would be nice is if you could poll the general brightness of each image and change the text colour of the playlist editor to make the text easyer to read (although I might be asking for too much now) ;-) ~Strat [edit] oh another thing... idea stolen from Foobar: having the option to have the picture follow the highlighted song rather then the playing song so you don't have to start a new song just to see the cover of the song[/edit] |

from what was discussed either another way of doing this needs to be found or nVidia need to add in support into their drivers heh

As stated by DrO, this currenly only works on ATI graphics. When time permits, I'll see what I can do about NV. Without HW support, the flicker will be a lot worse.

cool Safai,
work perfectly on my Win Xp Home, Radeon 9600XT and Winamp 5.094 suggestion: it would be possible to have the configuration of your plugins in the right clic menu of the playlist? |

Nice it's getting better all the time
![]() another must have option for the position setting: expand to edge. basically an option that resizes the picture while keeping the aspect ratio, but fills the entire playlist editor. for instance, if the picture used is too tall it should resize it so that the width covers the playlist and if it's too wide it should make the height fit. that way the picture will always fill the entire screen without changing the aspect ratio and with a minimum of clipping. could also be nice with additional options of how to center the clipped picture (top bottom center left right) but that's not as important. |

just confirming it works w/ nvidia.... this is so cool!
![]() [edit]just curious if its possible to have a clear background..like transparency... you would still have the text but you would see the wall paper behind it. I would think it would be pretty cpu intensive if it was dynamic, so possibly taking a screenshot of what would be behind teh playlist box somehow. if I'm not mistaken that would be easier to do with a custom skin with an alpha channel. I assume something like that is possible but someone would have to make one of course...

billyvnilly: that should be possible...
2pacalypse: it should work with any skin... what skin are you using? you don't have opacity set, do you? currently it does not work if that is set to anything other than 100%. Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

I see that the plugin states that you can program the wallpaper to change with different songs. How does this work? The wallpaper stays the same for me regardless of what song or album I choose to play until I manually change the wallpaper and then that wallpaper stays the same for all the songs until I manually change it again.

sicarp: here is the order for auto mode
1. try to load bitmap from the mp3 (id3v2) 2. try to load any bitmap in the same directory as the song and have the same filename 3. try to load any bitmap in the same directory as the song if nothing matches, it will use the one you specified Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

Thanks for the help Safai,
however, I am a bit slooooow when it comes to computers so I have no idea what you mean (sorry). All my files are ripped in FLAC (will that matter?) I don't know what "bitmap" is, nor do I know how to load it. Also, I'm not even real sure what you mean by directory (the folder the album is in maybe?). Right now all albums and songs that play have the cover art of the Master of Puppets album which is cool, but I need some variety. If there is help for me then I greatly appreciate it, but if I am a lost cause then I will understand. |

folder = directory
bitmap = cover art, picture, photo, drawing, etc if you organize your songs so that one album is in one folder, and you put the cover art in that folder, it should pick up different cover art depending on which album you're playing Album List for Winamp - Download: v1.43, v2.06, v2.07 beta Wallpaper for Playlist Editor - Download: v1.06 |

Ok, thanks. I'll try it when I get home.
I did notice that the few mp3 albums that I have the album cover art came up automatically when I played a song from that album, but I don't want to convert everything to mp3 because I like how FLAC sounds. |

Ok, I figured out how it works.
It works fine when I use winamp on my computer monitor, however I almost always use my big screen tv for winamp as my secondary monitor. When I slide the playlist over to the secondary monitor the playlist wallpaper disappears and I am left with the plain background. Anyone have an idea for fixing this? thanks |

Under "wallpaper preference" I have to have the knob all the way over to "opaque" before the wallpaper shows up at all. If it's moved even a millimeter towards transparant then no wallpaper shows up at all. Could this be part of my problem, or is this how it is supposed to work?

Nice plugin (v1.02) however you should make an option to override the value "NormalBG" to #00000 in "Pledit.txt" in other classic skins other than the built-in Classic Skin so that the wallpapres are displayed at all in those skins.

Other thing, if Winamp Playlist is hidden under some other window, is not displayed or disabled my pc hangs for a while while winamp is switching tracks and this does not happen when is visible even if only a little. This probably happens when the plugin is redrawing the image.
Using Winamp v5.1 and nVidia display adapter. Windows XP Pro SP2 and PIII@866MHz. |
