I did try reading all the above links. Its either to confusing to understand or the link is outdated. Some of them are 2001 and we are in 04'. I hope to see my winamp display chinese character and able to edit chinese character into the ID3 tag. Step by step solution would be helpful. Thanx

for your information, those links are not outdated
as far as I know, nothing has been done to support unicode since 2001 try the regional control panel work-arounds: they say it's working... (the final word on unicode: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=153885 ) |

This is a strong-arm method, but you maybe able to display and edit Chinese character using Resource Hacker.
Open in_mp3.dll via Resource Hacker and replace "LANG_ENGLISH" into "LANG_CHINESE" also replace "MS Sans Sefif" into other font which able to display Chinese character. I have changed "LANG_ENGLISH" into "LANG_JAPANESE" and changed font, now I can display Kanji character.(As you may have noticed, I'm a Japanese.) Here is a result, but try this way at your own risk. Sorry for my bad English. ![]() |

I haven't checked those other threads, mostly because I've never had any trouble displaying, entering, and editing Chinese ID3 tags.
One possibility is that you have to change the font for your playlist to a Unicode font like PMingLiU or Lucida Sans Unicode. |

Uncheck "use skin or language pack font" Click the "Use font" drop-down menu and change the font accordingly For the Media Library... Prefs > Media Library > Library Options tab > Modify Settings button: Checkmark: Media library uses same font as playlist editor Re: ResourceHacker Sorry, I can't help you with this. But google is your friend. |
