m3u8 to m3u

Hello, I've been searching a bit now to find a way to convert winamp playlists from m3u8 to m3u easily. I think it is quite a hassle to have to use another media program to do it such as mediamonkey. My goal, I like winamp, itunes needs to die but I can't upload playlists from winamp to my ipod touch 4. However, itunes easily reads m3u playlists hence with a few clicks I can add the playlist to itunes than my ipod.

Is there a tool or method to turn winamp playlists to m3u format?

Find it absurd how people like not being compatible, that model only works for so long until someone else comes along with something just as good and more compatibility.

Hi Primlock,

I don't understand why you need to convert. WA saves playlists in both formats. The ones you make and save to a folder(s) of your choice, are m3u. The copies of these that WA makes for inclusion in the media library are m3u8. The active playlist is saved in both formats.

Is this not the case on your system?
