Send silence to Vis while not playing

It would be nice if there was an option to send silence to an active visulization plugin while no audio was playing. This way the vis wouldn't appear to freeze when songs/playlist end.

Taking this a step further, it would also be cool if instead of silence some kind of basic signal generation could optionally be attached to keep certain visulizations active (let's all hear it for sine waves!).

Thanks, but I'm more than capable of searching Google for tone generators. That's not what I asked for.

I want WinAMP to send a signal to the vis, whether it be a tone or simply silence, to prevent it freezing when no music is playing.

The Tone Generator sends the signal to the vis - which IS what you asked for.
There is NO other way - except for using linein://

I want WinAMP to switch this in automatically between playing mp3's.

I.e. I play an mp3, it stops, winamp sends some arbitraty signal to the vis to keep it active until I play another mp3.

You're right though, there is no other way, which is why I'm putting this on the wishlist

out of curiosity i'll see if it can be done but in a day or two i think since from something i've been doing in the last day may make this possible. no promises, etc since i don't know for sure if it will work
