Problem with Vista 64 Ultimate Edition and CD Burning

I am running Windows Vista 64 Ultimate Edition with Winamp Pro 5.5 (registered).

WinAmp recognizes my 2 DVD burners (a NEC and a Panasonic). But when I go to burn a CD, the "Burn Speed" box is entirely empty, and then when I press "Burn" I get the prompt "Please insert a blank recordable disk".

No matter what I do, it never recognizes that a blank disk is in the drive.

On the dashboard, the blank disk does appear with the Panasonic drive but not the NEC drive.

I have tried running WinAmp in compatibility mode and it doesn't change anything.

For anyone else running into this, to fix this I had to uninstall WinAmp and then reinstall.

During the installation I associated WinAmp with audio files and choose to launch WinAmp for audio CD's.

Strangely enough, before I reinstalled it, I tried to do this manually from the menu. However none of the options would save, they would go back to what they were as soon as I exited the menu.

Anyway, seems to be working now.
