To tell you the truth, they looked awefull! simple as that and instead of tweaking them we agreed om removing them.

Hope you don't feel too bad about that.

Published in the Winamp.com database!
http://www.winamp.com/skins/detail.j...onentId=133717

Is the staff rating right or is it one of those database errors I keep hearing about. I don't think skins get much more complete than this!

It is complete, I dont know what they are talking about. They give skins that are sponsered by companies better reviews.

Completeness and functionality are in the same category as far as the staff review is concerned. Even though the skin is very complete, I did have to go hunting for certain features I was looking for. The uninitiated would have a lot harder time finding them, hence the lower rating there.

I resent that remark, as a matter of fact, those skins have to go through the same queue as every other skin. If you don't know what you are talking about, keep your mouth shut, or in this case, your damned fingers off the keyboard.

imo the staff review should be the exact same as what the end-users sees, maybe another reason the databse needs updating?

before you idiots whine about it crashing, there are now known bugs that make it crah on winXP HOME version. if that is your OS, shut up and wait a bit before you start bitching, rpeterclark, along with hamerhead, or working to fix it.

Ha, thanks! I've asked HH to help me out since I don't have access to an XP Home system. I'll get this figured out. Who would have thought it would behave differently between XP Home/Pro versions?

there is 1 thing i think u guys could possibly incorporate and would be really nice. Since the skin has so many color themes, would it be possible to make a favorites section so its easier to remember the ones you like.

That would be cool, but Winamp just doesn't give programmers that kind of control over the color themes list.

I believe razmansix tweaked a few pixels on the "green check", perhaps not on the box itself though, so I guess we're busted!

The boost was really washing out the "depth" of the skin and we opted to turn it off, sorry but it was our call. We kept most of your themes untouched though! Thanks for all of your contributions!

That's a known bug in build #498 I believe, it doesn't work in any skin.

The only thing I can think of that they might have got you on, for the completeness would be that your missing the KBPS meter
Dominator didnt have it and they got me for completeness.

WHOA!!!
i can't say how much this is awesome. The only downfall that u would have is the colour themes. They are either too similar or there is too many of the same sorta one. otherwise its a great skin. i also like that skin tips window that u made. very nice. hope to c more improvements in the future.

Well since u said that my idea for catigorizing them wont be codeable, would it be possible to then just be able to move the colorthemes in the list. Like say i think the second to last color theme is my fav, could i click and hold and drag it all the way to the top of the list?

Nope, there's absolutely no programmatic access to that list. The only control I have over it is where it is positioned.

the gfx is smooth
its cool the color themes keep coming
rpc, i think u should dedicate a page to invicta where users can browse through all the color themes and copy the code...
it would be fantastic

Thanks! razmansix and I have discussed putting together a small webpage for some future goodies that could be included in Invicta, but that is a little ways off, I think we are both on an Invicta break for a little while.

But you shouldn't have to copy code for color themes any more (unless you want some that weren't included in the final). Nearly all of the submitted themes we're included in the final, plus some by razmansix and myself made just before release.

just some suggestions

rpc the final version is out but i didn't download it
guess i should download it right now

but i had a query, can the analyzer visualization in the stick and the shade mode be made simple analyzers instead of running ones?
i think the simple ones would look much better

one more things.... in the stick mode
the >/II stop etc button (cbuttons i guess) ....
i think u should make them look pressed by scaling the down state a little instead of making them go bottom left a bit
i think that would look goof

just some suggestions u may consider
i know i should've given these when invicta was in beta stage
but may b u can use it for the "v2.0" kinda thing?

the skin is a kick-ass!

We had to use the "running" visualizers instead of the standard ones because of a technical issue. The standard vis's didn't mix well with the technique we used to color theme the fonts which was a higher priority. It is a Winamp bug, so maybe if they ever fix it we can put the standard ones back in, but I'm pretty happy with the visualizers in there now.

razmansix did the design and graphics for Invicta so he'd be the one to talk about the buttons, but personally I think they look great!

I'll definately get back to finishing up that design in the near future. I have a few other commitments to finish up first. My schedule is slowly but surely returning to normal and I'll be able to get back to some of my unfinished designs.
