yeah it looks off-centre...weird isn't it!

The stick is very "empty" as is is now - but that will change it'll probably change completely...as I add functionality to it.

As I've mentioned before I'm only able to work on this skin a couple of hours late at night - so you guys just have to be patient.

This skin is just getting bigger and bigger (not what I originally had planned) but hey...we're getting there...RPC is doing a super job coding it and is full of ideas

I put aside the stick mode a bit and worked some more on the minimode which lacks functionality as RPC mentioned. It'll now have the thinger and eq and whatever pops-up during the overhaul

preview (not final)

I see you got the Open and second custom button on there, and they look perfect!

Just a little reminder for the future EQ, please don't forget to add the new "learn" button into there...(new functionality in latest builds).

Thanks.

Thumbs up Nice Mode

Mini-Mode is very very nice. I don't usually use them, but I could make an exception with this one. Very nice.

They look wonderful! Is there any possibility of forummers(forumites?) submitting some schemes for inclusion?

I don't see why not as long as razmansix is okay with that. It will still be a while though, the code is changing too much right now to start making real themes. Once we get closer to the end we could put out a version to use for theming. raz?

No prob at all but as you mention it's too early now.

Damn rpc that looks awesome! - I'm glad it works well with theming.

The Learn button is a new feature of the EQ in some of the recent internal Winamp builds. I haven't used it myself, and the button will be useless to most people until Winamp releases a public build with that feature, but if you want your skin to be able to take advantage of it in the future, a button should be created. It's up to you!

It's a sort of a built-in volume normallizer, a feature that will be used by a lot of users, IMO...
Maybe someone can explain this better than me.

Edit: I believe that a lot of skinners are looking at the EQ in its basic form(a-la Winamp2's EQ) instead of looking at it like how it is in Winamp3. Aside of the "basic" EQ options, the EQ now also have that ">>" button that expends it and revels(sp?) new options (read: learn function, balance and crossfade sliders). Most of these new functions are not seen in any(or most?) of the Winamp3 skins... I think these options should be there.

well, the crossfade slider isn't very important, although a nice touch, because it can be set in the preferences aswell..
The Balance slider though, can't be set anywhere else at the moment, so it might be a little higher priority.
The Learn button however, should really be considered as important as the Auto button, because it will be used just as much.

Learn is a built in Volume normalizer that checks the song's volume level the first time it plays and then changes the Preamp setting to make that song's volume normalized the next time it plays. It also stores this info for that specific song when you have the Auto button active, so next time it plays, it will load the correct Preamp setting..

I will use this alot because that's the only thing I miss from Wa2's EQ, I use Autoload presets for every single file I own and the different volume levels gets annoying.
I've so far set the Preamp slider manually and saved it into the autoload presets, but it never gets good enough that way..
The Learn button will make all my songs have the same volume level, which is a fantastic feature..

Maybe you shouldn't include it in the #488 version of the skin, but PLEASE include it for any build after #488.

Balance slider doesn't matter too much imo, it's up to the skinner (maybe include it in some config panel or something like that)..

You DO have the Learn button planned right? (just making sure)

I also use to have Winamp in the background, except when I'm using Nonstep, maybe that'll change once more skinners pump out those lovley stick modes..

That dark green mode is Evil looking. But me likes...

Stick should be very minimal though. I would like to see you slim it down a bit more.

hehe..

So far only hammerhead and iplay have the beta's RPC is working on - mainly to test for code bugs and comment the coding I think.

We will have a beta for forummers once we have each mode finished and have settled on all the options they'll have. It'll be used for color-theming also

I don't mind RPC giving beta's out to code-geeks if it helps him. But I do mind having diff. versions of the unfinished skin floating around all over - there's no purpose in that.

Speaking of betas RPC...did you plan to send another one?
