I simply just can't wait for this plugin to be released!
Too bad i don't know any suitable programming languages...

I guess it would be too slow if it was coded in VB6, and i won't get any support with Small C either...

Anyway, when are you planning to start working on this again?

as part of my recent push to update some of the older plugins, things seem to have come to this project now...

fixed most of the issues regarding playlist item display today and updated a load of support code from explorer playlist and jtfe plugins. as long as nothing else crops up then development time should be able to stay on this for a while (well at least until i have a v0.1 )

DrO, why don't you take PLedit.wac from last build of wasabi.player (499g) and use it for develop this plugin?

because then i'd have a plugin only capable of working with modern skins (assuming that it would even properly work with the restricted wasabi engine that's in place with 5.x) and i don't really fancy spending a few more months trying to work my way through the code and the wasabi sdk when i can be doing coding on things instead

________________________________________________________________________

work is slowly getting there again since i've had the fun of updating and fixing a load of issues with the code as it was against all of my current and older plugins (which should fix most of the crash bugs that happened with the preview builds). as things stand, the playlist handling is almost done (as the piccy shows) and then i've some gui glitches to fix and make sure that modern skin support and the like is working fine (since most of the stuff i've worked out with other plugins that i just need to finish the last part of the code backport from other plugins)

(and the bar in the top is from bmem since i know Egg was a bit confused by it when i pasted the image url last night which is just a cropped fullscreen shot )

mmm ok

by the way PLEX work with classic skins too?

My personal wish from old wasabi to PLEX are:

the integration with media library:

and the cool drag'n'drop method:

most of the development has been done in classic skin mode since that's what i use normally. as for what is implemented will depend on time and how development goes. for the initial 0.1 i think i'll have it working to implement some of the features of the current playlist editor right-click menu but we'll see

piccy

due to a few issues with in_zip i've been a bit delayed with this one (again) but i've managed tonight to get the basis of using the explorerpl core in plex instead of duplicating the code as sort of had been the case with my initial dev version. due to this, explorerpl will be getting some more work as well and there will be a dual release of both plugins so that it's possible to get the functionality straight away when it goes live (i've got 2 days off work and one day is designated to some hard core coding ).

a lot of other things have changed and still have to change since i'm refining the playlist loading/tag reading code with a few little quirks left in it now (compared to the buggy/crashable code in the preview builds). i've also partly implemented ml playlist listing as well with the code (this will be possibly limited as such to not mess with the ml initiailly though i'm not too sure at the moment).

so as to how things are going, it is getting there though there's still a bit more to do (as is always the way since i eventually need to make the playlist handling part of this into it's own core as well so i can implement it into the k-jofol plugin with a different gui engine to handle it's drawing as such )

(I do agree though...)

Good Winamp plugins by Joonas, DrO and shaneh.
