standards are slipping

OK, so this is the wrong forum to mention this in, but I just happen to be here, and feel like getting this off my chest.
Why is winamp.com so broken ???
there's still snow on the winamp.com bit up to left as I'm writing this, and look what happened to me earlier:

Surely someone's got their sums wrong somewhere...

Napster Assholes - Tip One

The way I see it is some of the T3 people have T3's and so forth for the higher end peeps. Why lie and say you've got more then you do? On the other hand, I bet 90% of them users listed as a 14.4 or 28.8 and maybe even 33.6 are really on the top end just being greedy and not wanting to get him up for a download. If they were intelligent they would go into Pref's and set max uploads to 0 per user. Then no one gets your honey.

Tip Two from the Womanfiend

Saying all sorts of four letter words ...or yelling them, at your computer does do wonders. Wonderful relaxant, and if you do it in a lab or library or whatnot every things you're crazy so they don't bother you. Be insane.

Sorry, I've not been here for a while. Thougt that this was turning into a Napster topic. I'll go on:

Quote:
Why computers are female

[list][*]As soon as you have one, a better one is just around the corner. [*]No one but the creator understands the internal logic. [*]Even your smallest mistakes are committed to memory for future reference. [*]The native language used to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else. [*]The message "Bad Command or File Name" is about as informative as "If you don't know why I'm mad at you, then I'm certainly not going to tell you." [*]As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half of your paycheck on accessories for it.

shortest love story

a cigarette can be the most beautifull story:

There sits the cigarette all lonely in your mouth.
The fire comes along and the two were obviously meant for one another. And so their story begins, fueled by chemistry. Somewhere in the middle is the climax. The way it ends is up to you. They're either snuffed out or (the more poetic) thrown into the midnight clear to die together.

I see us all as lil' smokes
some cigars
some ettes
but whatever you are (and we know it has nothing to do with this website or forum for that matter) find your fire and let that lil' light of yours shine, let it shine, let it shine.

oh and by the way for all of you that hate cable and DSL, DirectPC is going two-way in a couple of months. So hold your breath or whatever it is your breathing

ecstatic's tip #1

To get around people lying about their connection on napster, check the ping times. A 14.4 user with a double-digit ping is definitely not on a 14.4 modem.

ecstatic's tip #2

Two-way satellite internet access is fine, as long as you don't mind minimum 400ms ping times.

actually it only took about 3 min. and most of that was spent digging out my calculator to work out the correct number of minutes. but it is still sad that I did bother to work it out.

I have a sneaking suspicion that a certain hairy-footed hobbit is responsible. Hmm.
