stop explorer from opening?

Using XP, whever I load a cd into my cd-r player, explorer opens up and shows the individual tracks. The cd registers with winamp media library as well.

I would like explorer not to open & just have the cd show up in winamp.

How can I do this?

Go to My Computer and right-click your CD-R drive. Select Properties and click the "AutoPlay" tab. On the menu, choose Music CD and under Actions, select "Take no action". Once you set this, it should stay - no programs I know of change it.

Next, open the Preferences screen in Winamp, and click "File Types" on the left of the window. On the long list of file type extensions, make sure CDA ("CD Audio," should be the first selection) is highlighted in blue.

If you want, to make sure no program takes over the file types you have set in Winamp (like CDA), check "Restore file associations at Winamp start-up".
